HOW IT WORKS

Tesamorelin acts similarly to the body's natural growth hormone–releasing hormone (GHRH). It signals the pituitary gland to release growth hormone, which in turn influences IGF-1 and other pathways involved in metabolism, body composition, and tissue maintenance.

Tesamorelin has well-established clinical evidence for reducing visceral abdominal fat in adults with HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Its use for broader body-composition and metabolic-wellness goals is individualized because evidence outside that population is more limited.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Tesamorelin works gradually rather than producing an immediate stimulant-like effect. Depending on your treatment plan, therapy may be used with goals related to:

• Body-composition support
•Metabolic wellness
• Healthy growth-hormone signaling
• Maintaining lean body tissue
• Physical recovery and resilience
• Overall metabolic health

Progress is generally assessed over time and may include changes in measurements, body composition, laboratory values, and how you respond to treatment.

BEFORE YOU START

Before starting Tesamorelin, your medical provider will review your health history, medications, treatment goals, blood-sugar history, hormone-related conditions, and relevant laboratory results.

Be sure to discuss any history of cancer, pituitary or hypothalamic disorders, elevated IGF-1, diabetes or blood-sugar concerns, significant fluid retention, or pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Your dose, frequency, treatment durastion, and monitoring plan will be individualized based on your medical evaluation and response.
